High pressure injection moulding at HSV TMP
Market: Heating ventilation and cooling (HVAC), renewable energy
Technique: high pressure injection moulding
Materials: PA6 GF30 V0
Particulars:
The SOLo module is a solar system developed to provide an elegant alternative to conventional photovoltaic power systems and created in partnership with the BPO technical design agency. The system allows solar panels to be mounted on slanted roofs. The SOLo is compact, so it can also be installed on small and/or fragmented roof surfaces.
The designers at Solyco engaged the HSV-TMP engineers to join the project at an early stage. HSV-TMP also handles the entire process – one stop shopping at its best. From design and mould construction to production, assembly and delivery, HSV-TMP is handling it all, which offers our client a number of advantages.
By involving the HSV-TMP engineers during the product development step for the assembly system, our client was able to rely on our knowledge of plastics and additives, mould design and injection technology. That partnership yields beautiful and sustainable solutions. Besides optimal implementation of the design, contributing to strong integration of the solar panels, this project also focused on total cost of ownership, including smart and sophisticated mould design.
Careful selection of the right thermoplastic and additive ensures that the modular system is weather-resistant and contributes to a long lifetime for the mounting structure. In addition, the modular installation system is manufactured using renewable solar power.
